چکیده

Antifriction synergies between an ionic liquid (IL) and nanopowders as additives of ester base oil were analysed at rolling conditions. For this aim, two nanodispersions based on hybrid combinations hexagonal boron nitride nanoparticles (h-BN) or graphene nanoplatelets (GnP) with tri(butyl) ethylphosphonium diethylphosphate in triisotridecyltrimellitate (TTM) the mixture TTM IL using tribometer techniques. Film thickness characterisation tribological tests performed conditions [5% slide-roll-ratio (SRR)], under 50N operating temperatures 30, 50 80°C. Stribeck curves showed that friction coefficients for prepared lubricants are lower than those found TTM, being best behaviour GnP nanolubricant. Furthermore, torque loss ball bearings, observing nanolubricants values obtained.

TOPICAL REVIEW Graphene on Hexagonal Boron Nitride

The field of graphene research has developed rapidly since its first isolation by mechanical exfoliation in 2004. Due to the relativistic Dirac nature of its charge carriers, graphene is both a promising material for next-generation electronic devices and a convenient low-energy testbed for intrinsically high-energy physical phenomena. Both of these research branches require the facile fabricat...

Graphene-analogues Boron Nitride nanosheets with ultrahigh ionic liquid uptake capacity as quasi-solid electrolytes

Inorganic nanoparticles are typically used as electrode materials in lithium batteries. However, to cope with the most challenge that solid electrolytes have low ionic conductivity at room or lower temperatures, here we show graphene-analogues boron nitride (g-BN) nanosheets absorbing a large quantity of ILs as a solid-like electrolyte. The layered g-BN nanosheets have very high specific surfac...

Optoelectronic properties of hexagonal boron nitride epilayers

This paper summarizes recent progress primarily achieved in authors’ laboratory on synthesizing hexagonal boron nitride (hBN) epilayers by metal organic chemical vapor deposition (MCVD) and studies of their structural and optoelectronic properties. The structural and optical properties of hBN epilayers have been characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence (PL) studies and com...

Epitaxial growth of single-domain graphene on hexagonal boron nitride.

Hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) has recently emerged as an excellent substrate for graphene nanodevices, owing to its atomically flat surface and its potential to engineer graphene's electronic structure. Thus far, graphene/h-BN heterostructures have been obtained only through a transfer process, which introduces structural uncertainties due to the random stacking between graphene and h-BN subst...

Synthesis of hexagonal boron nitride graphene-like few layers.

Self-standing highly crystallized hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) mono-, bi- and few-layers have been obtained for the first time via the Polymer Derived Ceramics (PDCs) route by adding lithium nitride (Li₃N) micropowders to liquid-state polyborazylene (PBN). Incorporation of Li₃N as a crystallization promoter allows the onset of crystallization of h-BN at a lower temperature (1200 °C) than unde...
